A Bit About Me
Hi, my name is Elliot Colton.
I was born and raised in Britain, but in a desire for sunlight and a "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" mentality, I moved 3000 km to the Middle East. I cut my industrial design teeth at one of Keter Plastic's factories in the north of Israel and then in 2008 founded Colton Design.
I have dedicated myself to the creation of enticing prototypes and exhibition models and sophisticated components for my clients, be they entrepreneurs, start-ups, or established companies in the car, high tech and robotics industries. And even though my studio is based in Israel (the start-up nation and a tech hub), I have also done projects as far afield as Phoenix, Arizona and Hanover, Germany.
I enjoy working closely with my clients, keeping them in the loop through each stage of development: from concept to CAD modelling, continuing with engineering and prototyping and on to mass manufacture if required. My clients are consulted and updated through each stage of a project and given access to online CAD models.
I have been required on many occasions to have a Demo Model ready to go from initial client meeting to unveiling at CES in 3 weeks. Which is why sticking to deadlines is of paramount importance to me. My work ethic, attention to detail and innovative designs have become the hallmarks of my projects and a major reason why my work receives the recognition it does.
